Architectural architecture of the village of Amda

 

Overview: The most important archaeological point of the district of Meherpur is the architectural achievement of Amda village 4 km southeast of Meherpur city. About a square kilometer of this place was tested around, but there was no wall around the trench. No sign of this archive can be found anymore. However, a remnant rescued from the underground soil has been placed in front of the old Deputy Commissioner's Building.

 

Way to go: It is situated in the district headquarters of Meherpur. Access to rickshaws / buses from bus terminals.

Siddheswari Kali Temple

Overview: Siddheswari Kali temple situated in the big market of Meherpur city is considered to be the local Hindu Rajaseela central temple. During the liberation war, Pakistani occupation forces attacked their temples and collapsed the idol of the statue of Bali. After independence, the local Hindus started re-establishment and regular worship was started. Kali Puja, Durgapuja, Saraswati Puja are held here every year. Boishak Sankranti Mela surrounds this temple in the last context of the month of Baishakh.

Amjhappy Nilkuthi

Brief Description: The long history of indigo cultivation and indigo cultivation is in the heart of Meherpur. Written in 1935, written by John Phillips's indigo cultivation, it says that a Frenchman named Mausey, Louis Benoo or Bonnard, started the first indigo cultivation in Bangladesh. Najukhu Nilkuthi was established in 1815 or even after sometime.

Nilkuthi of Bhatpara, Sahabarati

Overview: This Neelkuthi is constructed by brick, chun-shurki, which was destroyed in 1859. Its roof is made of iron beams and brick tiles. The Kajala river is passing by the side of this room.

 

Way to go: Distance from Meherpur district headquarters is 17 km. The bus, locally known as Tempu / Lachiman / Kariman, can be reached at Bhatpara Nilkuthi at 40m.

Bhawanandpur Temple

Overview: The ancient temple in Bhawanandpur village of Sadar thana is not considered as the arch monument of Meherpur district. Many people think of it as a Buddhist temple after seeing the architectural style of the temple. But it is Hindu temple.

 

Way to go: 10 kilometers away from Meherpur district headquarters. Locals go to Bhawanandpur at 20 am with Tempo / Lachiman / Kariman.
